New Sidi shoes. Does "want" = "need"?

I'm shopping for mountain style shoes, or at least ones that take recessed cleats. But I admit I haven't yet read every last post on Sidis (which of course I will ), but until then, why do you like your Sidis? I'm rejecting them strictly based on price, which has been conveniently tossed for this exercise...

So why do you like 'em?

I love mine because they fit like a glove. They are made for narrow feet and mine feel like the shoes mold around my foot. My old shoes just didn't have the snug feeling I really like, especially in a cycling shoe. The sole on the Genius 5 is nice and stiff, unlike my mountain shoes (wear commuting) that just don't feel great out of the saddle for me. They are just well made and if they fit you right then it is just so wonderful.

They fit my feet -- high arch and even higher instep, somewhat narrow foot. The Dom 4 and 5s have a top strap can be lengthened/adjusted from both sides so the wide part of the strap is centered over a high volume foot, not to mention the strap is long enough just to begin with.

PS for dachsund - The Genius is the road version and the Dominator is the mtb version. Same shoe but the Doms have lugs on the bottom and take a recessed cleat.
