The Tri for Fun was A LOT of fun. I'm glad I did that one first. I was a little nervous about the Tri for Real because the website made it sound so serious and I was worried it would be kind of cutthroat and super competitive with snotty people. But as I talked to other folks there, it became apparent that it wasn't like that.

I was all happy during the awards because there were three women who were really encouraging either before the race or during my "walk" and they got on the podium in their age groups.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with plaque. I love that I got to stand on a giant Red Bull can. It's just so appropriate.

Thom keeps reminding me that I am actually racing. Apparently everyone else came out of T1 much faster than I did. He was on a corner and hoping to get a shot of me with the bike leaned way over. I looked like a little old lady, with the bike straight up. Originally Posted by maillotpois

We did not keep that photo.
I was trying to get my heart rate down. The run from the beach to my transition area seemed REALLY long. And it was a little weird coming out of the water after being in it for so long and then having to move right on to something else.

I did wear that whole outfit under my wetsuit and for the bike and run. I'm wondering how the shorts will be for 56 mile ride. They were okay for 25, but not great.
You can just sort of see it poking out under my arm.
