It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.

I was thinking about your description of the pond on my swim today. So glad I was not swimming in goo.
Those are some awesome times. Are you planning on a permanent defection to roadie tris?
V.
Curious where this was... did an open water swim in Jersey and came out looking like I was several shades darker. Yuck. Glad it didn't affect your race!
V,
I am currently enjoying my race schedule. I am racing for a sponsored mt bike team and doing the road tri's between mt bike races. In fact I had different long term plans for next summer, but I am having so much fun with this schedule, I might just do it again next year.
I think I might an olympic distance race to the schedule for next year. I already know I can do this distance. I did it off road at xterra nationals, but I would like to see how fast I can do an olympic which would require some training.
The nice thing is, that all of these sprint races are close to home. Within an hour. I am so sick of driving 300 miles each way to race.
So a partial defection to the world of roadies.....If you all will have me![]()
With times like that we'd be PROUD to have ya! Course you'll kick our butts, but we'd still take ya! That looks like a great job. Way to go. Despite the slime, primordial goo. UGh. That is disgusting.
I rowed a crew race in a "lake" like that once... it was a waterfowl protection site outside of Vancouver, BC (Burnaby?). And all the goo had to have been goose and duck poop. The docks were covered with it and the water brown/green. The open four dumped their boat somehow -- ohh... what a nightmare. No showers, either! They all got to sit alone, together, on the way home.
