Thx for the responses thus far. I might try to mount it again higher. The mounting is not really that large, so you would think it wouldn't matter. But, it does I guess. I'm not a commuter atm, or a cross country tourer either. Maybe some day. I got the rack with the idea that I could use it carry a picnic while out with my kids on a trail for one. Then I thought about my road bike and that if I did want to join a friend who has a rack and tours with a change of clothes etc., I'd be all set up. It's a nice little rack otherwise. Dang it, just has to not rub...
