Yeah, trying to eat veggie in N. Florida restaurants is just about impossible. I'm not veggie, but I eat very little meat or dairy, so I'm definitely aware of restaurant menus. It's amazing to me that restaurants in Columbus, OH are more accommodating to vegetarians than they are in north Florida (and they were even 10 years ago before the amazing Dragonfly Neo-V opened).
Sometimes I think the "retirement" mentality here is to blame for the lack of options. OTOH I am impressed with some of the grocery stores that are stocking more organic and healthy foods. Publix Greenwise almost could compete with my local healthfood store and there are much closer.

How long is the ride in Dallas? Do you travel to participate in rides?
