    BIAK - stay away from Cottonwoods and Sycamores too. Actually you need to be carefuly about planting any trees near water pipes. But hydrophyllic trees are the most troublesome - if they grow along western streams, especially intermittent ones, you don't want to plant them anywhere near your pipes.

    I'll need to call in locates before I start digging things up anyway. That'll determine whether any trees get planted in the back yard.

    Sycamores aren't really common in Oregon. Cottonwoods are farmed for paper in a few places.

    Great pic, stiger! Makes me want to be young again. We used to swing out over the creek near my house when I was growing up! Very cool.
