Thanks for the well-wishes, Clock! Think of how different both our lives would be if we'd never fought for, or lost our bid for independence. I wonder what it would've been like...


I LOVE the 4th- mostly because I love our country, and partly because I teach American History and just LOVE every aspect of early American history. It's so interesting (and the John Adams mini series on HBO was just wonderful)!

We spent the 4th riding our bikes- is there any other way? DH did his first century, and I did 85 (I wimped out on the 100 since I'd just done 65 the day before). It was a ton of fun! We were too tuckered out to go to the hill behind our house to watch the fireworks, so we just went to bed early and listened to the booms outside our bedroom window and watched them on t.v. (it's kinda the same).
