Having ridden it twice before (and never with a tailwind), my plan is completion at a pace of 15-16 mph (again no tailwind since I'm riding this year and hopefully no storms). I know I have to pace so that I don't flash & burn. It is a wonderful experience. My son will be driving SAG for me since the logistics for my husband just didn't work out (and he's a stellar SAG person). I offer his services to any TE folks who would like to have a place to stow stuff and ask for assistance of any kind. I'm doing a century tomorrow and then it's two recovery rides until the big day.
