Took a little mosey down to the beach and the ferry dock. Walked along the sailboats, saw one for sale big enough for one person to live on: $5,500. Had a little daydream about living on a boat... not much room for bikes, though.
Sat on a bench or two, watched scuba divers heading into the water (low tide) and a heron poking around in the shallows. Saw ferries ferrying folks back and forth. Had breakfast on the beach.
On the way back home I was passed by a GORGEOUS mint green Davidson tandem with S+S couplers. I hollered out to the riders about their nice bike, and they seemed surprised I knew what a Davidson was.
As I was riding through the forest-y bit near my house, I kept hearing a line from a Rod Stewart (?) song "have I told you lately how much I love you" in my head. I sang it to my moustache bars off and on through my little ride, cuz I like them so much.
Later today I think I'll ride to the farmer's market. But first I think I'll take a nap. (it is my day off, after all!)
