Have we all lost sight of the most important thing? It's steel!!! Oh sweet, beautiful, smooth riding steel. I am patiently waiting for the pendulum to swing back towards steel. It's bound to happen. I think so many more people would get into riding if there were more steel available. It's just so much more comfortable, and newbies I think dig comfort more than fast. I remember test riding an aluminum and steel frame back to back. Ran over the same twig on both bikes, but it was such a princess and the pea feeling on the steel frame.
That Soma is beyond gorgeous, BTW. I love the background in the picture, makes it look even more majestic.

thanks to Trek420 for pointing out...for reminding me...that 48/47 is my size..
i am actually looking to tempt my DH . He's riding a Trek 7000 that he likes...not in love....and i want him to experience the erotic nature of steel...and lugged steel I could look at while I ride...![]()
(sigh...he's just so damn practical sometimes!!! this bike is fine, i have no problems with it, he says averting his eyes from the temptations I set before him...)
and he rides 58cm...the world is his lugged oyster....
(actually there's a Novara radonee on ebay I've got my eye on as a surprise..if it doesn't go too high... it's a nice blue)
the SOMA is DEEEEElicious I do have a thing for that Lemond style graphic on orange though....

Discipline is remembering what you want.
You're welcome. It makes bike lust more manageable when 9/10th are not even in our size
