I just finished my First 25 mile ride

Today was my first 25 mile ride and I finished. I am so proud of myself. The hills were monsterous to me and I did not walk the bike at all. There were times when I thought I would die and give up but my hubby was there to cheer me along and support me through the tough moments. Now I am looking forward to the next ride.

    Yahoo and congrats!

You might want to do a really slow, easy, short ride tomorrow to spin some of the lactate out of your legs.

Just think - only three more 25-milers & you'll be doing a century!

Good for you!! I like it when I feel I have accomplished something new at the end of a ride. My husband and I did hills around our neighborhood today. He thought he was going to die--we only did 12 miles!!!!!!!!
I told him we are too used to a paved trail with modest inclines. Those are challenging too, but in a different way. We see how fast we can go or how far.
The hills today gave us motivation to continue expanding our fitness into other areas. I'm looking forward to seeing how this new "training" affects my ride on the paved trail.

Excellent! We are about in the same place. I did 25 today, and have been at it about 3 weeks- that crooked 2x4 for a seat that I have been sitting on is starting to straighten out...

I think this is just a start for me and I am so excited to try something else soon. Good job to all those that did a ride today as well. I will go back out tomorrow just to spin for about 7 miles if my bumm can handle it LOL
