Hello all! I'm going to jump in on this thread...hope you don't mind a party crasher! I've been running for all of 8 weeks, preparing for my first triathlon season. I really don't care for running, but suppose it is a necessary evilI ran about 7 miles last night with my triathlon training group. Totally demoralizing, as I am the slowest person in the (fast-ish) group. Everyone else is a "real" runner and it's the best I can do to hang on.
We did intervals last night, completed the 7 miles in about 1:06:00, good for me, but still way behind the others. I'm going again today for a short 3.5 miles of recovery run (we're supposed to have thunderstorms this afternoon and I'd rather get caught in the rain running than biking). Hopefully today will be better...
