    Wink Wahine and My Cat

You know how under Wahine's icon it says, "She's a little dense." I think of that every time Cassie Cat (not named for Wahine ) plays with the ball in the round plastic tray. She gets hours of enjoyment out of that thing... and the ball just goes round and round.

I wish ours did that... they require interaction to enjoy the ball in track game. Once they get started, though, I think they'd sit there until they broke it or fell asleep.

I often feel like your cat when I stare at the white line on the road for hours and hours and wonder why that makes me happy.

    Your cat's name is Cassie?

    That's weird.

That was her name when we adopted her from HALO. Nothing else seemed to fit her, so we kept it. She's beautiful cat with orange highlights in her fur.

Now I'm really freaked out!! I was separated at birth from my feline twin and have just now found out that she's living at Veronica's house!!!

It is sort of weird, isn't it.

But she's not even a year old yet, so you couldn't have been separated at birth.

Cassie is at it again. That ball just goes around the track. She gets it going pretty fast sometimes.

Tucker, my tuxedo boy, cracked me up this morning. He hopped up onto the vanity while I was brushing my teeth. He headed straight for this little container in the corner where I keep hair restraint devices, my disposable contacts, etc.

He pulled out one hair thing, jumped onto the floor and was acting like he had a critter in his mouth. He was growling at Cassie if she came too close. Then he would toss the thing around and play with it. He was still at it when I got from the gym two hours later.

I love being home so I can see what they do all day. Of course they do make naps look inviting. I just woke up from a 90 minute one.

I bring our dog (boxer-rottweiler mix) to work some days and she curls up on a little doggie bed I got her for the office. Sometimes she sleeps so deeply that it is hypnotizing. I relax... more... more... and find myself wishing I were sleeping. She likes to cuddle, I don't think she'd mind.....

My cat Trixi does the same thing. Picks those things up and growls and defends it with her life.

This morning was entertaining for her, though. She is a cat that actually likes water - plays in it, and you can give her a bath pretty easily. Even will get in the tub with ya. Well, my legs were very tired after a few hard days of running and biking, so I decided to do an ice bath. Hate those things, but they work. So she decided to get in the tub with me. I've never seen her get out of water as fast as she did this morning! Apparently she has the same initial reaction to those ice baths as I do!! Needless to say, I about died laughing
