    Most romantic gift ever...

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I know you all will appreciate this (much more than my non-cycling friends)...
Tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary w/ my fabulous boyfriend, and he got me the most romantic gift ever...a new pair of Sidi Dominator 5's, a trisuit and more cycling socks. This is the man who got my my first road bike, well, actually my first bike that wasn't a kids' Huffy (Trek 2.3 wsd) for my birthday a few months ago. I couldn't think of a better gift!!!!! No wonder why I love this man!!!

And now...off to try them out!!!

AWWW how sweet!!!! Just that fact that he remembered a gift for your 1 yr when you aren't married is a feat in itself to me. I think that is soooo romantic!

He's the best! After being in a previous marriage that was just awful, I really really appreciate him. You're right, he totally "gets" it

Congrats, that is a fantastic gift. Definitely a keeper.

My DH gave me a HR monitor for my birthday once, I cried I was so touched.

That's awesome!!! Just goes to show you that a gift doesn't have to be pretty or sparkly to be romantic!!!

Awhhh yeah very sweet of him! Hold tight onto that one! I'm so glad you're in a better situation. I fortunately never walked the aisle with mine but it's so icky what bad relationships do to you!

I can definitely relate to getting emotional over gifts. My mom never had anything to do with me and the horse thing. Then for my 21st she got me the show halter I had been pining for. Evil b*tch that moved onto the ranch I was living on in Oregon stole it, made me furious. Last year they got me the synthetic english saddle I wanted so badly. Could not believe it!

I told my ex I wanted a new roping saddle way more than some stupid ring but did he listen? Should have been my first clue. He equated that crap with love. I would rather brag to the girls at races and ropings that this is the new saddle my hunny bought me. Gawh!

*sigh* I think I blew it with the adorable pick up driving cutie. He was so sweet too. I told him my wheel problem and he instantly called all his biker buddies trying to help me out!

One year Thom gave me a gift certificate to have my VO2 Max, body fat and lactate threshold tested.

My non-biking friends and family were shocked that I would actually want such a thing.

Having a guy or gal who understands you is a good thing.

What a very thoughtful gift from your special man. Now all he has to do is plan a weekend getaway geared towards cyclists to break in those Sidis.
