Monday might work for me...I'll be in Fremont until 5-5:30, so I could swing by somewhere at So Lake Union after that, possibly.

. . . or we could meet in Fremont. It'll give 7rider a chance to see another part of Seattle, after all. And it's convenient for me, as it's on my way home.

Either of those should work for me.
Where's Freemont in relation to Lake Union? Walkable? How's public transit? I won't have a car.

it's between 2 and 3 miles depending on where exactly you'll be. We're all assuming you're going to rent a bike for the week

Do you know where in Lake Union you'll be spending most of your time? If you're in S.L.U. I can meet you and we can walk or bus up to Fremont. It's really not very far.

My hotel is listed as "Seattle Downtown/Lake Union" on Fairvew Ave. North

I had eliminated bike rental from my list of options. When I was in Boulder, the logistics of it just didn't work for me. I'm assuming the same here.

    Greetings from Seattle!
The eagle has landed...and only an hour and a half delay in Denver. Thank you, United!
Just got back from eating far too much at a Crab place. Lots of loud airplane taxis taking off right by our outdoor table and a view of the Space Needle nearby.
So did we settle on Monday or Thursday? My meeting/workshops end around 5 p.m. each day. So anytime after that is cool. Still need to pick up a map from the front desk so I can get a sense of the lay of the land.
    I'm excited to meet some west-coast TE'ers.

    Welcome to Seattle!

I just left you a VM. If you're on Westlake Ave. N., there's a great place near you called Paddy Coyne's. Oh, and you're not far from the REI flagship store, either.

Can we get a consensus going? Paddy Coyne's, Monday eve, 5:30'ish?

If that doesn't work, we may have to try for Thursday . . .

remember the time zone difference, 7rider and try to start settling down soon...it's almost midnight, your time, right?
Sounds like you were right next to the "runway in the lake" for Lake Union Air?
I have us meeting somewhere tomorrow...we'll keep it closer to you, so that you don't have to go far...waiting to hear more from Jocelyn.
Mimi, are you going to ride and join us?
    Any other Seattle-area TE'ers?

Too bad, Mimi; I'll miss seeing you...and hey, Teigyr...what's your schedule like lately? Don't you need to get your body artwork to Paddy's on a regular basis to soak up some Eire?!

Let's aim for 6 at Paddy's on Monday. I'll chat with Marriott staff on how best to get there. I'm actually on Fairview Ave. The "airport" looked to be across the water from us (they just flew over our heads).

Yes, it's now after midnight for me and I'm about to call it a night. Bummer you can't make it Mimi. I would have loved to meet you. B/t here and BiJo, you guys are famous! Early dinner! Join us for apres....

    'lo

My schedule is divine for me but impractical for the outside world. I am working 3:30pm - 2am mon-thurs. So early afternoon coffee or a friday to sunday meet-up is good but other than that, I'm thinking nobody but DH wants to see me at 3am?

Dang. Unless (ahem) you leave from the airport on a monday - thursday! I am generally up for getting out when I can though it has to be onsite.
