My name is Lisa and I wanted to say HI!
I am relatively new to cycling on a road bike, I started to ride this spring seriously and decided that charity rides are going to be my passion. I just completed my first big ride (for a fat chick) earlier this month, did 54 miles on a 92 degree day for the Tour De Cure...and I finished! I am doing a metric century next month and hope to be able to finish 100 miles by the end of the summer.
I joined for tips and tricks specific to the road bike because I am much more comfortable getting dirty and jumping over things than I am on my road bike...and there is so much to learn!
I am having a great time buying gear...funny how MTN bikers don't pay as much attention to fashion as the road bikers.
Welcome! Congratulations on your excellent rides so far. Keep hydrated and eat enough, and you'll do fine in the century.
