I am completely, 150% biased to the Cannondale. I love mine, she is snappy, comfortable and gorgeous!! My husband and I both ride Cannondales and love them so much we both hoped to find Cannondales as commuters. So that is my biased vote.

Now I will say the logical thing- ride them all back to back and make a rational choice of which one feels best.

how come you called the Cannondale a specialized synapse?
I have heard so much good about the Madone
but honestly ride each one and see which you like best!

Well, Im super uber biased, and love the Madone. I'm not very educated in the others. But what I do know, is that the availability of the 5.1 is terrible right now. It's being replaced with the 4.7. Same components, but TCT carbon, rather than OCLV. So... unless your LBS has a nice stock of the 5.1 in your size, ask them what they've got and how long it's going to be around. Good luck choosing what you want!
