I must take a picture tonight of DH's new Kona Jake. It is such a lean, mean commuting maching. I wish I had bought one for me- shhhh don't tell my commuter.

Here's my new custom commute bike. I got a custom road bike last year and it made such a difference that I ordered a commute bike from the same builder. Also included a pic of the two bikes together.

Thanks, they are made by Steve Rex in Sacramento, CA. The yellow one is painted by his painter, Russ Pickett of Air Art in Chico (awesome job!!), and the red one is powdercoated - I sent him the cranks to have powdercoated at the same time.

You cant' see it in the first picture, but Russ painted butterflies on the yellow bike on the front end of the top tube and down tubes. There are a couple of "lost" butterflies on the seatstays, too!
