I love these responses.
With my old 80's bike that I couldn't bear to sell, I debated keeping it at my folks' place or donating it to the Africa project. I ended up giving it to a friend of mine who is just getting into cycling (i.e., getting sick of gas prices)
My 70's era bike I am restoring. Ebay and Sheldon Brown (snif) are my new best friends.

-- gnat! (more bikes! need more bikes!)
I use an old 10-speed whenever I go downtown for the day since I don't worry about it getting stolen.

As has been stated in many threads around here "..one can never have to many bicycles, right?" I guess I fit into that category.
