What's this challenge thing? I need to lose another 10 kg. Would this help?

Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
GLC1968,
Please don't give up!!!
Please come join me on this journey. We can do this together.
I will be your biggest cheeleader.
Taking pictures is a good idea. It sure has motivated me.
And I am so proud of you for not lying when posting. It is always hard to tell the truth in a situation like this, but you did it anyway. It shows that you have integrity.
So let's get this done! You can do it!!
A Very Determined Lynette
OK. I think I get what the challenge is about. Count me in. I know I'm late joining, but between working out more on the one hand and parties/travel/restaurants on the other hand, I've been stable at 84 kilos (about 185 lbs) since May 1. Now I need to get back at it: eat less, eat right, bike more. I want to lose 4 of those kilos by June 20, then 5 more through the summer.

Welcome Duck on Wheels - the more the merrier!

Hello, everyone . . . although I dropped out of this challenge, I still read the postings every day and sure do admire all of you. I haven't taken the time to exercise, which is a bummer, I know, but I'll get back to some kind of normalcy soon.
I weighed in Friday morning to see 137.5 (higher than my starting weight), and I about passed out. Free food at work all week plus the stress of a chemistry final Thursday evening plus the ol' pre-cycle bloat, well, ok. But I was still mad.
Saturday morning it was 133.5. So in the space of two days, I went up 1.5lb and down 4lb.
Stupid fickle body water retention. Put me down for the 133.5 and we'll see what happens from there.
-- gnat! (what I need to learn is how to not set my mood based off the numbers...)
I didn't weigh in this week. We were camping for a week and a half (camper camping, not backpacking). If we had been backpacking, I would gladly weigh-in. As it was, we sat around the camper most afternoons and grazed while DD napped.
Back on track this week! On a positive note, I got a PR at a 10k race this weekend! That was exciting![]()
Ugh. Friday morning I was at 164, so I guess that is my official weigh-in for this week, although this morning the scale was up to 166. Drat!!! Sure I had barbecue and beer this weekend, but I also did an hour long kickboxing class and 30 minutes of strength training on Saturday, a 3 mile hike on Sunday, and a 30 mile ride on Monday. What gives? Maybe the extra 2 pounds will magically disappear before this Friday . . . .
