Geez JulieD, I can't offer you any advice as I haven't tried Descente yet, but it seems a little crazy that someone your size would have to order a large.
I have looked at and handled Descente jerseys in person, though I haven't actually tried them on. I'm a similar size to you but smaller busted (size 4 & 34A), and I wear a small in Castelli, and the Descente jerseys I looked at **LOOKED** like they would fit me in a small, and didn't appear to run especially small (but again, I didn't actually try).
