    Descente jersey sizing

    To disable ads, please log-in.

According to the TE sizing charts, Descente jerseys actually run *smaller* than Castelli jerseys. Can anyone confirm this? I have a Castelli jersey in size M that fits me well, but with the Descente I almost have to wonder if I need to go up another size. I'm a size 4-6 in street clothes (and my bra size, which is probably the gating factor, is a 32D), so I'm a little hesitant to order a large.

Can anyone share their sizing experience with Descente jerseys?

    Thanks!

Geez JulieD, I can't offer you any advice as I haven't tried Descente yet, but it seems a little crazy that someone your size would have to order a large .

I have looked at and handled Descente jerseys in person, though I haven't actually tried them on. I'm a similar size to you but smaller busted (size 4 & 34A), and I wear a small in Castelli, and the Descente jerseys I looked at **LOOKED** like they would fit me in a small, and didn't appear to run especially small (but again, I didn't actually try).

I went ahead and ordered a medium, and I'll report back with the fit.

I guess it's just like buying a bike - everyone seems to size things in a different way!

I, too, am usually a S or 6 in street clothes, (and a 34B up top). I have two Decente jerseys in M, and they fit just right. Not tight in the shoulders, long enough in back. I have a long-sleeve that's fine up front, but I feel like my summer jersey is a bit short. Maybe my shorts (which are also Descente) come up lower than my tights do, I don't know. It's not really a problem while riding, but if you get off the bike you may want to give the front a tug to make sure your stomach's not showing I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable in a S. Hope it fits you, overall I've been happy with mine.

My husband bought me a Descente jersey when I was smaller (size 6 with a 34D top). I needed a large for the chest, meaning the rest of the jersey was a little loose. I like Descente's materials, do not like the fit.

Well, the descente jersey turned out to be out of stock, so I can't report back with the fit. Thanks for the feeback for next time though!
