You both look so beautiful with your new haircuts!!! Wow!![]()
Love them both! It's amazing to me how much younger and sophisticated us mature women look with short hair (believe me that I'm not saying women with long hair don't look young and sophisticated- I speak only of myself with both long and short hair). Both of you lost not only your hair, but years on your faces! Congrats on getting the locks chopped!!

Fun and sporty cut - VERY CUTE. Congratulations! Glad you feel good about it -- that is the most important thing!

Everyone Deserves a Lifetime
I know I'm late, but the new hairdoos look GREAT!
SilverDaughter donated 12 inches to Locks at the age of 9. She got a half page article in the Memphis paper with a big picture of her holding the ponytail! That article inspired another young girl who literally took her hair to the scalp in order to get the minimum length for a donation! WOW!![]()
Ironically, the same day you did this, one of my assistants at work did the same thing...same apprehension...and came out looking great! It was interesting, because she did this a week after another co-worker came out of her "post chemo wig". It's awesome to have one in remission while another is donating to the cause!
Giving money is easy...giving of yourself like this is absolutely AWESOME!

Well, yesterday I took the plunge, and had 12 inches cut off to donate to Locks of Love. I had been thinking about it for a year or so, and this thread was an inspiration. Sorry, I don't have any pictures, but it is short in the back with longer layers on the top and sides. My hair is very thick and wavy, and it was a major pain in hot weather. I think I wore it in a ponytail for almost all of the last year. I was just thoroughly sick of dealing with long hair after many years. The hairdresser cut 4 separate ponytails, each about an inch thick at the top, and it is quite a bagful of hair to send in.
It just felt like the right thing to do, although I have to say I am still getting used to it when I see my reflection! No regrets, but it was also a liitle strange to pack up all my ponytailers, clips, barrettes, etc today.

GLC, that is a fabulous haircut. I also have a head full of curls. Lately I just let it dry and end up looking like Shirley Temple.
If I knew it would come out looking like yours I'd be waiting for the salon to open.
