I would LOVE to go super short again,

2 hrs to go!!! How you holding up??? did you take before pic's????

I can't find any good short cut photos! I have such thick wavy/cury hair...and all the celebrity cuts are of people with super straight hair. I did pick out a couple of Halle Berry styles...but of course, I'm no where near as good looking as she is, so it's hard to imagine her hair on me!

Eeek...one hour to go. I keep repeating my new mantra "it's just hair, it's just hair, it's just hair".

(oh and yes, I have a "before" shot on my camera)

Ok, I got it cut on Friday! The girl who did the cutting was so excited that I was donating my hair. She really, really made me feel good about it. I was her first 'donation' since the salon opened about a month ago. And she was in the middle of growing out her hair for the same reason!

I haven't taken a picture of my new hair, because I haven't quite gotten the hang of styling it yet. I've been playing around with an assortment of products to try and get it to come out right. I think it's too long. I'm also not used to having curly hair when there is no humidity. It's messing with my normal 'procedures'. (Funny, since the people here are complaining that it's too hot and humid this weekend!! It doesn't even compare to NC or FL, my last two places of residence!)

I'll get DH to take a pic tonight to post before and after and you guys can tell me what you think.

Yaaaa!!! glad to read excitement in your post vs regret!!!

I came on here first thing this morning to see if you did it!!!

and double Yaaaaa...I didn't know you were doing this to donate too!!!

I haven't quite gotten the stylin down myself yet either...but I found headbands work GREAT in my style...I don't even have to blow dry the hair to get it to look fuller...throw in a headband and out the door I go.....oh and the little claw clampy things.....I did a 6 twist do yesterday (bringing the hair off my face and clamping 6 separate hair chunks where a headband would lay on my head) and that came out pretty cute.... and since it was hot and I was sick yesterday..it was nice to get the hair off my face!!

Ok. I cannot find my true 'before' shots. I know I took them, but they are not on my camera and are no where to be found on my computer. I'm quite confused!

Anyway, here is a subsitute 'before' photo. This was taken last December - so my hair was actually about 2 inches longer than it was here. (and yes, if my hair would look like this without 1.5 hours of blow-drying, I'd have kept it long!)

And here it is now (post-donation):

Next time I get it cut, I'll go shorter, but this is good for now. The bonus? My helmet fits better without all that extra hair shoved under it!

WOW!! What a difference! The new style looks so polished and sporty. And it definitely brings out your pretty brown eyes. Is your husband as happy with it as you are? I think it looks GREAT on you. Not many people can wear short hair, but your features combined with a great cut are nothing short of fantastic. I'll bet you will appreciate it this summer.

    Wooo whooo!!!! I LOVE IT!!!

(before was gorgeous...but Ya...an hour and 1/2 of hair 'fixin' is wayyyy too much!!!)

You look like you have thick hair...so under a helmet would have been mighty toasty warm!!!
