If the gloves are real leather and real cotton, and they're close to your size, they'll be your size after a few wearings or sooner if you get them a little bit wet and let them dry.

This is funny to me. I saw crochet gloves at the LBS and I thought they were pretty and feminie unlike the black lycra ones. When I finally went in to buy myself a pair I made a comment about being excited to have a pretty, feminine pair of gloves. The sales person (man, racing elitist type) become quite offended and corrected me by informing me that they were meant to keep your hands cooler when riding in the summer. Sorry![]()
I like the really old style gloves and was having a hard time finding them in my size, really small. Then I went to BIG 5 and found exactly what I wanted. Women's weight lifting gloves, with a mesh back and a padded leather palm. The only thing missing was the terry cloth on the thumb. Easy fix. I took a wash cloth and cut a piece to fit either thumb, sewed them on and VOILA! $8 for the gloves and 20 minutes of sewing. They fit MUCH better then the "trek" ones I bought from the LBS for $15. They are very nice and cool in the heat.

PS And I am not old
