WOW. Your haircut looks great. I have been toying with the idea and you may have just encouraged me enought to do it. I'll let you know what happens.

He looks just like John Riter....he and his partner own the salon...it was a ton of fun.....they will give you wine while they cut your hair, they have a massage chair while you get your hair rinsed...and he massages your head while your under the water...I felt like I went to a spa!!!
I'm tempted!!! If I weren't going for a short cut that I know will require cuts every 4 weeks to maintain, I might actually do it! It's just too far to drive that frequently (and way too far to bike! ).

The salon I've chosen opens in 10 minutes...I'm taking the plunge and making the appointment.

(and I'll definitely post before and after shots - gotta take a 'before' tonight!)

It can be a HAIR raising experience!!

I know that was awful. Last summer my life was totally tuned upside down and I had really long, curly, blond hair. I was trying to comb the curls out one morning- which can be a challenge if you have naturally curly hair in the summer!!- anyway- I had what I refer to as "my Brittany Spears moment" and went to the Salon in town and cut ten inches off my hair. For some weird reason, it felt like I left a lot of baggage with my hair that day. It is still short (and sassy!!) and I love it. Sometimes you just have to jump, sister.

WOOOWHOOOO!!!!! Can't wait to see your transformation!!!!!

This reminds me of women rebelling by burning their bras.....(cept...we REALLY need our bras for support while cycling).... so instead we are CUTTING the Hair!!!

I made an appointment. Tomorrow at 5, I go back to short hair! For some odd reason, I'm kind of nervous! I love having short hair and it's definitely time for a change, but I'm oddly sad about cutting it all off this time. Maybe it's because this is the longest my hair has ever been as an adult? Or maybe it's because I'm going into this totally blind as I've never used this hairdresser or this salon before?

    Hold me.

    Actually, no!

I think I'll take in a collection of photos of cuts that I like, just so that she can see my style, but I'm going to leave it up to her to just give me something fairly hip, short, easy and that will look good after wearing a helmet!

I would LOVE to go super short again, but my DH said it freaked him out a bit. He admitted that it looked cute, but I think that it felt too short to him in the dark. I'm willing to compromise a little bit...

This is 'super short', so I'll probably do something a little longer than this:

It's funny you say that you're rebelling by cutting. I rebel by growing my own hair out superlong! To each their own!

Your new 'do looks great on you!
