Gloves and sometiems jerseys are designed with wiping surfaces.

In my breathing class we learned most poeple have a preferred nostril fo rbreathing. This came as no surprise to me since I rocket so much better from the left. I'm grateful that things tend to be easily dismissed in that fashion and that I do so much riding out in the cornfields.

Hmmm, we usually get this question in the fall, not the spring.

I love my air hanky. My nose runs all the time and it's a relief when I'm bicycling and can just snort it out. Sometimes when I'm walking down the sidewalk in polite company I have to remind myself it's not appropriate.

You girls crack me up!!! I remember a long time ago reading about the snot rockets now that it has been mentioned. I actually tried it once. Sorry, I wasn't pretty, and I won't try it again. LOL

I have a rack with a bag on the back and I carry tissues with me, I just get tired of having to stop to blow my nose. I will have to try the neti pot that oakleaf suggested and see if it helps.

It doesn't make me want to stop riding, I just wondered why in the world this over production of mucus happens while exercising.
As far as fall or spring, it doesn't matter for me, it happens always.

It's pollen season. I found using my sinus rinse (similar to a neti pot) helps reduce the inflammation in my nose, thus reducing the snot. I also use it after a ride to clean the spring pollens. So far it helps tremendously. Hubby heard on NPR that using a rinse definitely decreases colds and flus and the body builds higher levels of albumin to ward off illness.

It is nice to know that I am not the only one. DH thinks I am crazy and that something must be wrong as it does not happen to him. Thanks for making me feel normal and as a reminder to wash my gloves
