I hear your rant![]()
I've put some of this weight back on but before I started riding I used to wear LL Bean relaxed jeans with the elastic band size 20 sometimes 22's. Then I started riding, then longer distances and did a few metrics, signed up for the AIDS ride
did another ... and another .... the inches came off.
During that time especially the year I did ALC 3 even co-workers who see me daily were amazed at the transformation. If you hadn't seen me in a while that was the first thing you'd say "dayum, you're loosing weight." I donated my size 22 jeans, got 20's donated them .... 18 .... 16's .... my weight stayed almost the same.
My knees/joints are truly shot with more boo boos than I care to list. Would I like to loose weight? yes!! Would my joints be happier? Would I climb faster? He]] yes!!
Meanwhile I don't sweat it because in the words of another ALC'er when I said I really had not lost weight and she said "enjoy the bigger engine"and I did.
