Seems I have a vague recollection of this same thing happening last year. A mystery guest sending spam-ish PM's to dozens of TE members with a vague mystery message masquerading as a personal message.

I received the same "private message". It's not spooky or bizarre . . it's just SPAM and the messages are deliberately written to entice you to open the message or go to their link. My policy is that I never ever open any message if I don't know the e-mail address . . never.

Just delete the message and don't respond.

    PM spam

If you receive PM spam, please let me (send PM to "administrator") know so we can delete the spammer's account and keep them from sending more PM spam.

The reason "jessie2" was showing up for some of you as an unknown user is that the account for that user had already been deleted by the time you read the PM.

Unfortunately, the VB software lacks an easy way to delete all PMs sent by a user, so it is difficult to go back and clean up the spammer's mess.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Same person send PMs on another forum I belong to, even with the same user name too. Might be going around I guess.
