My group did the 45 miler last year and it was just gorgeous! Might have to do it again. I'll try to talk somebody into doing the metric, this time, though.

A reminder that the Skagit Bicycle Club's Spring Classic ride is MAY 10th.
It starts at Bayview Elementary school in Burlington. You have the choice of the Century, Metric Century, 45 miler, "No Sweat" 25 miler, and a Family Trail Ride. (10-12 mile course).
This gets bigger every year (18th annual now!), and takes you through many of the beautiful areas we live in up here! There's Homemade Cookie Reststops, Sags, Showers, and End-Of Ride All You Can Eat Pasta Feed.
See the Club Web Site for more info... http://www.skagitbicycleclub.org/articles/765
I'll be helping to direct traffic for parking! Hope to see many of you there (and I hope it will be sunny as I stand there waiting to get to finally ride!).

+1 re: the Skagit Spring Classic...I've done either the metric or the century routes about 5x and it's a well run ride. After the first year that I did it, I noticed the espresso truck in the registration area the next year! Then, there are showers in the school for use (make sure to bring your own towel though) and a spaghetti feed (I think it's usually the Girl Scouts?)...the elementary-age and size cafeteria tables are kinda tough to maneuver onto after a long ride, so try to sit on the end
Hope the weather is beautiful and that any of you who ride it have a safe, fun time...tailwinds!
Mary
We'll miss you this year MMQFC!!!! Come back for next year.

Have fun to all of you who will be riding! Beautiful area up there in Burlington! I wish I could do the ride but my son is driving home for the weekend from college! What a great Mother's Day this one will be!I haven't seen him since Christmas break! Woo Hoo!
Just registered for the ride - probably going for the 45 miler. I'm definitely hoping for dry roads and maybe a little sun

Rode the 45 mile route on Saturday. The weather was decent, ran into some headwinds. It was a beautiful ride and well supported. I'll be back.![]()

Dog: Good on you! I did PART of the 45 miler... that headwind was nasty and I was freezing from standing and parking cars all morning! Glad you made it out. Next year's weather really can't be any wore, so hope to see you there!
