If you're an Obama fan. I don't think this is the place to discuss politics. And some still haven't voted in their primaries. All I can say is that it'll be an interesting summer.

All these little ditty's that come out during this time are pretty funny! I just hope everyone votes. and that is all I am going to say on the matter! I agree we should not talk to much politic's. There are forums for that.

I think they're both absolutely brilliant people. It's too bad they have to spend a year trying to beat each other down. Imagine what could be accomplished if they tried to work together.

For a little window of time, I could actually stand to see and hear what politicians were saying without the urge to barf.
It ended a while ago. I'm not sure what the threshold was but yea, it's like it used to be... it reminds me of my high school principal's blathering over the PA at us.

But I'm an eternal optimist. The fact that for a little while I heard people talking in ways that make sense tells me ... maybe... the life form is still there... (no, not going into what in my opinion made sense. How was your bike ride today?)

You said it! And we still have a long way to go...
Parties aside, we could do so much more for our country if we could just work together and do what's really right.

The good thing? I teach 5th Grade Social Studies so we focus on early American history. With an election year, we get to spend some extra time learning about the candidates and 5th grade hosts a school wide election on the day the nation votes (we even divide the school into different areas and do a mini version of the Electoral College). It's always something the kids LOVE, and remember for a long time. Weekly Reader even does a thing where they record votes from children and name who kids would have chosen. Sometimes I think they do more research and are more open-minded about hearing both sides of the issues than adults. I love kids!
