I'd have a hard time resisting. I was so much more into video games than either of my kids! Actually, both of my boys are dyslexic and back before the 3d stuff, there were side scrolling games that I encouraged them to play. Part of training this disorder is to teach to go from left to right. The three of us played a lot of them together. Our fav was Donkey Kong Country. (Of course I also played tag and kick the can with them too). Still, at 53, I swap games with students. Lent out Zelda, the Windwaker just today. I also teach Calculus and I tell my students (and mean it) that solving some of those hairy problems is like figuring out a dungeon in a Zelda game. I get the same kick out of both. I see nothing wrong with it in reasonable doses. Just make sure they don't bowl or light sabre the controller through your tv!
