Anybody on a plateau? Been eating right, riding your bike, maybe other exercise and yet stuck at a certain weight?

TCTREK>.. yep. I've lost 12-13 and plateau'd there. I haven't been SUPER crazy about dieting by any means, but the workouts have been good and consistent. I feel pretty good about being here but would like to move on now! I know it takes your body some adjustment time, but enough already! Guess I have to be more strict with the diet to jump in the right direction. That is my goal for the next couple of weeks and we'll see what happens!

TC Trek - I am the queen of the plateau. I have been working out 5 days a week and counting Weight Watchers points, and every freaking ounce is a struggle. I seem to lose in little spurts, and can't make any sense of it. From mid-March to mid-April, I gained 4 weeks in a row despite frequent good workouts and staying within my points, then lost all of it in a single week (a nearly 4-pound loss), then the last two weeks have been negligible losses, 0.6and 0.8. All I can do is to just keep working out and making healthy food choices, focus on non-scale victories like changes in the way my clothes fit or how solid my thighs are getting , and hope the scale will catch up sooner or later. Hang in there!

Oh, yes, indeed! I've been on the same plateau for ten years, and I am not exaggerating. It's like some kind of curse.

    195.5 for me on Friday

I made much better eating choices over the weekend, but still ate the same quantity....which is my biggest problem!!

That and finding time to cook good stuff....we seem to always be so busy...or it's 'too hot' or 'too late' so we go grab fast food....that has to be my first thing to change!!

TahoeDirtGirl - Of course you can join us! Everyone is welcome!!

I'm updating the chart and will post it shortly. We are still missing initial weigh-ins from ikkin, Stacy and TahoeDirtGirl...so get on it, ladies! (the scale, that is!)

I added a column for 'challenge goal' and I posted numbers for those who had shared them. This is not required, but if you want to have your goal for this 8-week challenge listed, post it here and I'll update. (not your ultimate goal)

    Good luck, all!!

Thanks GLC for taking this on!! Not an easy task I'm sure!!!

My Goal for the 8 wk challance will be 187 that'll give me 1 lb a week to shoot for so there should be no excuse NOT to at LEAST make my goal!!

although...I doubt my day of eating nothing but NACHO's Yesterday isn't helping!!! (my son is in Little League...and the ultimate Nacho's are hard to resist)

This is great. Thanks for making the chart. To be honest, I never tell anyone my weight, and it is good to see other women in the same boat------let's do this, girls!!!

I'll get us started today. Weight this morning was 185.0, I seem to be off to a good start. Now the question is, can I keep it that way.

I'm not off to such a good start....209 this morning. But I'm ending the week much better than I started so that should be promising for next week....

    UGH - 146.8

A gain of 2 pounds in one week.

So, listen to this sob story...

I am menopausal - haven't had a period in almost 2 years. On Monday, I start feeling lousy - bloated, really sluggish, heavy, my fingers start swelling - on Tuesday morning, I wake up and I am bleeding.

    What's up with that?

I don't even have any pads in the house - I had to rummage through my teenage daughter's bathroom to find something.

So I have been bleeding all week - a dirty, red-brown gross colored blood. Not a lot of it - just enough to be really annoying.

    And I weigh 146.8!

    Just shoot me now...

    Don't you just love hormones?

    Lynette

P.S. Oh - and you can put me down for a "challenge goal" weight of 140.
