Now I can not believe I am recommending these but I got a pair through the mail from Vistoria secret and I really like them. I am curvy and short (5'3) so I have a hard time with pants as well. Athletic legs (23) and butt (32), small waist. They had a great pair of khaki pants in size 6 with tons of room in the legs and butt. But there are cargo pockets. But see for me since I travel the pockets are great. The length was a bit long (30) but there are these little tie's at the bottom so I can sinch them up a bit. They are very cute.
