Jenn - I was unimpressed with the pavement on several parts of the metric course too. I guess maybe it didn't bother me as much because it reminded me of the crappy roads I ride on here at home. I'm used to avoiding potholes, cruddy pavement, bad patches, and other hazards. I feel like I'm getting a special treat if I ever get to ride on decent pavement!

What a shame about all the folks who crashed! Did the milers come back into the finish on the same route as the metrics? The pavement on those last several miles was just atrocious. I would imagine there has to be a better route back into town than those horrendous roads.
