32 miles with the hubby today. It was downright hot when there was no shade and the wind wasn't blowing. Everyone was out today and all the trails were a bit crowded. DH got a nice sunburn going on. Going to do my first metric next weekend so we had to get some miles in.

Hey, 62 miles for me today too! Did the club ride which went up Webber Canyon (long climb) and some other rollers. Total of 1300ft climbing which is a lot for me. It was windy and we got drenched in a cold rain, my legs were killing me, it was miserable so I'm not sure what's crazier, the fact I was out there riding or that I enjoyed myself.

Next Sat is my first CENTURY!!

I did a test commute on my new commuter bike (pics in the commuter section.) I included carrying stuff in the panniers and stopping at the grocery. So I got in a big ole 6.9 miles. But in the different setup, it was surprisingly hard work.

I did the Wine Country Century (100K route) in Santa Rosa with a friend of mine. It turned out to be an excellent day. We finished in just over 4 hours with no problems. The weather was beautiful and so was the scenery! A very pretty time of year in that area with all the vineyards and bright spring green foliage everywhere.

This was only my second organized ride ever and only the third time I've ridden a metric. Now I'm inspired to do a full century!

I'm letting my hips rest. I think I have bursitis , at least in the left one.
So instead of riding I put a new retaining wall on my sister's front flower bed. Lots of digging and lifting of paving stones. Plus she's paying me to do it
    I call it active rest.
