Ah, the Socal haze. How I miss it.....not! I do miss the mountains out there and wish I would have rode them before I moved. My hubby rode up Mt Baldy a couple times when he was really young. I would like to try that now.

I did a ride today as well. There was an organized ride that left from town this morning and I happened to be on some of the same roads for some of the time with them. Funny cuz one guy I met was a local like me and just out for a ride without knowing about the organized ride. I did 49 miles out to sedona and back to my favorite BBQ place to fill my belly. Someday I will carry a camera cuz it really is pretty where I ride. Gonna do a big mountain climb tomorrow.

No pictures here, but DH and I took off on a 42 mile out-and-back up to a hollow in the mountains. Sunny, 80 degrees, but the wind was miserable because it was pummeling my eyes with pollen - and I had wrap-around glasses on! At one point we were riding on a rolling road through a valley & my computer was registering 21 mph - we had a tailwind and NO headwind....so the wind was blowing at least that hard. Unfortunately we had to ride back through that very valley to get home.

Hubby and I took a quick ride on a nearby trail. Then after the ride he went motorcycle shopping. Says he can use it to motorpace me on windy days.

Today I got on my bike and rode a mile. then i got on a bus. The bus took me downtown. I got off the bus and met DH.
He was without a bike. we walked 5 blocks and got on another bus; this took us to Kirkland. We got off THAT bus and walked another 5 blocks where he then bought an older Raleigh (just like his first ever new bike).
We rode back to the bus stop and rode that bus into Seattle, and then dropped the Raleigh off at our LBS. Then he went and got his Davidson and we rode to the Supermarket and then home.
I have to stay out of my car for 3 more days and i get a car free week. 21 miles today. IN THE SPITTING RAIN

Test rode a Ruby today. 5.5 km, one big climb. Very nice bike - 48 cm fit me like a glove.

32 miles with the hubby today. It was downright hot when there was no shade and the wind wasn't blowing. Everyone was out today and all the trails were a bit crowded. DH got a nice sunburn going on. Going to do my first metric next weekend so we had to get some miles in.

Hey, 62 miles for me today too! Did the club ride which went up Webber Canyon (long climb) and some other rollers. Total of 1300ft climbing which is a lot for me. It was windy and we got drenched in a cold rain, my legs were killing me, it was miserable so I'm not sure what's crazier, the fact I was out there riding or that I enjoyed myself.

Next Sat is my first CENTURY!!
