Pants that fit???

Looking for casual khakis for "athletic build"(translates to room for my butt & thighs). Hope someone out there has found the perfect pair and wants to share.
I am usually between sizes 4-6. Waist being too big in larger and of course butt too tight in the smaller. Also prefer without too many cargo pockets & such. Clothes do not seem to be made for women with butts & boobs. What am I thinking that womens clothing should allow room for such things! Thanks.

I have the same problem. Muscular thighs/glutes and smaller waist.

LLBean--I get all my pants there now. Sometimes, I can find something at Talbots for work, but I'm usually having to pin the waist or let a blazer hide the fact that the waistband is too big..

I have a lot of luck with Eddie Bauer jeans and pants. I am a *curvy* gal with a smallish waist to hip ratio and these jeans have a very flattering fit. (FYI, my thighs are about 23 1/2 ")

Lands End can customize pants for you. I like Lands End stuff because it's very well crafted and they put a lot of thought into the designs.

Also, Lee fits me well.

Since you are in between sizes, look for pants with the hidden tab in the waistband that lets you adjust it to fit.

Also check out what Outdoor Research has. I have had great luck with them! I did put my favorite pair in the dryer though, and they shrunk in length- so I now have to roll them so I don't look silly.

Gap in the 'curvy' styles and Ann Taylor Loft in the 'Julie' cut. They aren't perfect (I have a HUGE discrepancy between my thighs and my waist), but they are the best I've found.

I also have a couple of pairs of North Face shorts that work well. I think because they are 'hiking' shorts, they were cut with a little more room in the leg, so they fit me as regular shorts fit straighter shaped women.

Also, for dress pants, Banana Republic has a new line that is "curvier." I can't remember the name, but I have a waist/hip discrepancy, too, and these pants were actually a little too big for me in the legs. They come in basic colors and styles.

Try the Gap Favorite Chinos - I can only find them at the outlet, but it's definitely worth a trip!

I am definitely curvy in the pants area and I just love these chinos - they have plenty of room for my butt and thighs and also bring that little tummy area in and make it nice and flat

Now I can not believe I am recommending these but I got a pair through the mail from Vistoria secret and I really like them. I am curvy and short (5'3) so I have a hard time with pants as well. Athletic legs (23) and butt (32), small waist. They had a great pair of khaki pants in size 6 with tons of room in the legs and butt. But there are cargo pockets. But see for me since I travel the pockets are great. The length was a bit long (30) but there are these little tie's at the bottom so I can sinch them up a bit. They are very cute. Eddie Bauer makes pants that have the hips one size larger than the waist, I can't remember the name of the cut, but it is easy to find on their web site. And Lands End one style of curvy cut jeans that don't gap out at the back waist on me, which is unusual. I have good luck with the Lee stretch boot cut jeans at WalMart too(I know, the un-American place to shop). And I always try anything with a drawstring waist adjustment! Tokie

Hey, you don't have to defend your shopping choices.
Wal-Mart may not be a preference but sometimes it's just a fact of life necessity.
I do try to buy things not made in China but it's just not always possible, especially with my budget.

Even more to check out. Exciting, I love it. The victorias secret ones are cute. I do have a pair of jeans from VS that I like. Seems like they are London Jeans brand. Sure would not think of finding curvy women pants at VS. Gave up on eddie bauer awhile back but don't know if I've ever tried the newer style. LL Bean looks promising too. Well the mail carrier and ups man are going to be busy.
Best of all the weather is finally getting nice. Always about the bicycle sooner or later!!

I know it's not khaki pants, but Target has some Bermuda cargo shorts out right now that fit me really well. They have some stretchy parts in the waistband.
