Both my Ibex and SAC packages came today. Here's the review:
1. Razzel: a beautiful piece. I was only surprised cuz I thought from the pic the red would be all red and it has some brown in it, but it looks really nice, even with black gray pants, so the brown is quite subtle. Its very soft and a good solid weight. A very dressy piece (which is what I was looking for, you know, from bike to boardroom, that sort of piece). The small fit the same as all my other small ibex.
2. Zepher zip T-neck: another nice piece, soft, a little more casual/sporty looking due to the flat locked seaming, but still fine for my line of work. Again, a nice mid-weight. Again, small fit great, just like all my other small ibex.
3. Pingo Jacket: So many of you gals love this piece but its not cut for my body type. Tight across the chest, but loose at the waist, short in the body and long in the arms. Even a M wouldn't have helped except to make the chest looser and perhaps bodice longer, so back she went tonite. In fact, the fit reminded me of the showers pass jacket that some many of you love that I also had to return, same unflattering (to me) boxy cut. SO maybe if the showers pass jacket fits you well, the pingo would too.
4. Bella Vest: Another disappointment. Again, tight across chest even though I tried the boucle full zip in both S and M and had to send back the M (although to be fair I was trying to layer it over a shak, maybe to do this you need to size up). This one would have probably fit a lot better in M, but I just didn't love it so back it went. This is the only ibex piece yet that didn't fit me best in the S.
5. SAC Plum Norgie Crew: DEFINITELY a keeper, but I already had a solid norgie crew in blue so I knew what I was getting. I have to say the plum color is even prettier than I imagined though from the pix. Very soft, nice mid-weight. Again sportier than some pieces due to flat lock seam, but fine for me for work or play.
So tonite I dropped the Ibex return off at the post-office, and stopped by our outdoor store to check out the winter gear sales. Scored a patagonia down vest for only $59 (original price $149) so now I have something for when 2 layers of Ibex isn't enough......... BUT NO MORE BUYING WINTER CLOTHES. THERE ISN'T A THING MORE I COULD POSSIBLY NEED. Now, I just need winter to come back so I can wear all this great stuff.
