    well ....
this weekend was an eye opener
i have been looking at compact for a few weeks... get the pic?

went to a nearby town for a look at all the bikes on offer
    My hubbie encouraged me

at the end of the afternoon he is driving the car and says
"go back to LBS and look at the bike you have been drooling over"
    so i say
i cant because i feel bad if i dont buy it , i love it (been loads to look and ride it in the confines of the store lot )

he says ok we should go and just see it

    (OMG )

I say but why not just buy a compact chain set for my bike
his reply was ( i kid you not he is not a bike boy!!) do you want a new bike or what!!
so meek and mild i enters LBS
look around for ages for "my bike" nowhere to be seen!!
ok ok calm down i tell myself

anyway ask assistant who tells me it is sold

    ask manager WHO TO????

    HE SAYS "GRINNING"

LOL! Scarlet, congrats on the new plush ride. Your hubby sounds AWESOME and lucky you for catching him. When you are through riding sometime, please be sure and post pics of your new bike.

My parents did this same thing when I was 9 when they bought me a rabbit for my birthday. I had been fawning over a little bunny at the pet store. They got me to come along to run some errands with them by the pet store. We passed by the shop and there was a "sold" sign on the bunny's cage. I was awfully sad, but then we went in and my dad's name was on the sign as the person who bought it Of course, now I know you should definitely adopt rescued pets, but I give my parents credit

Congratulations on your new bike and your husband definitely earned points for this!
