    Dear (unexpected) overnight guest:

I was more than happy to let you stay overnight Saturday as your furnace had died and it is still too cold here in MN to be without heat at night.

I was disappointed (and hurt) come Sunday morning when all you did was complain that the house was too cold, bed was too hard, the heat register made too much noise in the night so that you could not "get your beauty sleep". You even made a comment about getting up so early (8:00 a.m.) even though I'd informed you that I needed to leave no later than 10 am to go visit an elderly aunt out of town. I also got up early to make us a nice breakfast which I think is what a gracious hostess should do for company.

I'm certainly willing to help friends when necessary but phhllleaaaze . . . no whining or complaining, ok?

    Dear Computer Gods,

I'm unsure whether you are trying to protect me or screw me up.

When I'm trying to bid on a commuting bike on Ebay as an auction is ending, this is not normally a good time for my virus software to start updating.

However, as I may have found better on Craigslist this morning, perhaps you are acting in my best interest

    Dear Potential Home Buyer,

I know you are searching for the perfect home for your pet. Firenze11 has just the home! It is neat, tidy and comes furnished with pet hair. What more could you ask? Oh, and the price is just right. Please make a bid soon so she doesn't have to bust her hiney day in and day out just to keep the house extra clean for non-pet buyers.

    Sincerely,
    Dyson Dame

    Dear Weather Gods:

Will you PLEASE get with it so we can have some spring rides with our club? 3/4 scheduled rides have been cancelled over the last 2 weeks because of SNOW. Hello? It's the end of April already!

Our weekly rides are supposed to start today. It's raining AND snowing out there. Yesterday it was beautiful. Tomorrow it's supposed to be beautiful again. Please make sure from now on that all the Wednesdays are nice.

    Thank you kindly,
    Me

Dear bank that owns the house in Banks (ironic, isn't it?) -

Please get off your hiney and do something. You have been sitting on one offer for 30 days now. You've now also been sitting on our offer for more than 2 weeks. Don't you want to get this house off your records and sold? Please initiate some action towards this end. To put it simply, we'd like you to ___ or get off the pot, please.

    Thank you very much,
    GLC & Mr GLC
