I live in Shockoe Bottom (just east of downtown Richmond), so there were no tornadoes right where I live. My SO, however, was in a scary situation near Williamsburg. Lots of damage in Suffolk and around Petersburg.

It did get very still and dark yesterday. I remember the huge tornadoes when I lived in Louisville in the 70s, so I was a bit wary. There seemed to be Emergency Broadcasts every few minutes yesterday.

I was wondering when our TE Weather Watcher, sundial, would give us a warning!

Hey I am soooo glad you are ok! And you are right Sundial is always the first to post about weather on the east side of the rockies!

I live in Richmond too, so we were pretty safe. However, having said that, my SO and I were traveling through that area (from the Wild Goose Chase ride in Cambridge) last night. It appears that we must've been an hour or two behind the tornado!! We just thought we were driving through some awful rainstorms!

Jeanierides and tulip, glad to hear you and your SOs are safe and sound. Tornados rate up there with wasps--unnecessary and scary.
