A guy on another forum posted a 12 week swim plan for training for a sprint or Oly Tri so I am going to try to follow it for awhile. They all start with a 400-500m warm up then a main set. The first day is 2 X 400m, 2nd one faster than the first.
I really must find a way to keep track of my laps. I just keep losing count, or messing up entirely. I was supposed to do 400m warmup and somehow I counted it wrong (using the alphabet) and did 800m instead. I was wondering why it was getting late and I still had my two 400m sets to do.
Anyway, my first 400m was 10:30 and my 2nd was 9:05. Interesting.
The other day, I tried to swim 50m as fast as I could and did it in exactly 1:00. No way I could up that pace over the long haul though, at least not yet...![]()
