I think you mean the Cervelo RS, not the R3. The RS has a headtube that's about 2cm taller than the R3. It is a sweet bike, one that I'm coveting.

You can get the Cervelo stock setup for about $4K. Or buy the frame plus a build kit (http://www.all3sports.com/product_in...ervelo-rs-2008) and spend more or less (w/Ultegra kit is about $3500).

He was just looking at the online reviews of the Cervelo R3 and it sounds like it's the kind of bike he's looking for. A race bike for people with back problems - more upright geometry.

We're off to look at bikes today. I like bike shopping.
