WTG! Great job pushing yourself in the swim! It's easy to get into the routine of stopping at the wall because you can. I'm trying to break my habit of doing this too. But, most of the triathlons in this area are open water so there will be no "wall" and I will need to be able to push my way through the swim.
Anywho, keep it up! I hope things continue to get easier and easier for you as you get more training in.
My first short-distance tri 600m swim, 13mi. bike and 3mi. run is coming up this weekend. Unfortunately we've had snow every weekend leading up to the triathlon so training on a bike has been to a minimum and there has been no pre-race run-through.
Today I am going to do a short bike (most of the snow is off the roads now) and 2 mile run. Just to get a feel for what it will be like to run after biking. Then a long swim tonight, I'm going to try to get my 600m. down to 16min. or less. We'll see how it goes.
At this point my goal is just to complete the race Saturday. Hopefully I'll make it!
Good luck with yours!
