Emily: I'll send you our RAIN.. .it is very cleansing to the air! And you hair, your clothes, etc...

Got an unexpected day off today, so I got in my long run on my schedule after all... was planning on skipping it this week. Glad I didn't!

7 miles, 70 minutes. Kept the HR between 155 and 165 MOST of the time. That was harder on the last couple of miles for me. My legs are tired, but they have been all week. Lungs held up well at this pace.

Sounds like everyone had good runs today!

It was a cool morning here so I waited until later in the afternoon. By about 230 it was getting nice out and our neighbor stopped by to say there was a Smartwool sale going a few miles away. It was a sale of seconds. So I hopped on my bike and purchased a few items: 3 pairs of socks, a jacket, tank top and shirt for DH all for under 40. Rode back home then went for a 3.1 mile run. Felt great.

5.5 miles for me this morning on the trail, everything is turning so green in the woodland and the air is warm, so I guess the winter is really gone.

I ran a nice 5 miles yesterday and 4.5 miles today with some tempo work thrown in. Felt pretty sluggish today but got through it.

Another 3.1 miles for me this morning. It was windy at 5 AM - 17 mph, nice when it was a tailwind, but a headwind going up hill wasn't so much fun.

KSH--Good luck increasing your training hours! I know you've done it before so it should be a piece of cake, right? I tried to increase my hours from only 5 to 10 a week and then got the flu. I'm sure you'll be more successful.

My plan is to do a 60 minute trail run this afternoon. I just realized that a tri I've been considering is only 10 weeks away. I need to get out of my 30-40 minute training session rut and start doing some serious endurance workouts. I figured a hilly, sandy trail run is just what I need to get me going.

5 miles on the paved fitness trail. I need to find another place to run around here - laps are bo-o-o-ring even if it's only 5 laps. And there's too much temptation to cut it short when my car is never more than 1/4 mile away!

Today was beautiful though, chillier than it has been but I was dressed for it. The crabapples are blooming, the trail was strewn with delicate pink and magenta petals. Every gust of wind would send flurries of petals swirling in the air. I felt like the Queen of Chi Running!
