After careful consideration
, I think South Gate/Morgan Territory is my choice.
I'm not sure on the road closure status of MT, but if we're lucky there won't be any cars!

How's the train museum for a starting place? 8:30 or 9? Later makes the traffic easier, but earlier makes it cooler.
