Hope to hear more from you ladies and welcome welcome welcome!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

    Real name: Carol/Gazelle
Where do you live? Santa Cruz, Ca!

Explanation of your handle: I hate the itch

Explanation of your avatar: Mt. Tamalpais, San Francisco

Age (general or specific) 21 (May 27)

    Occupation: Freelance Web designer

Favorite bike: my new Turner Nitrous!! <3<3
What's in your stable? Turner Nitrous, Calfee Dragonfly Pro, junk town bike, currie electric bike

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 42 MPH going down Bonny Doon Road sometime. That was a lot of fun

Another picture of yourself or your ride?

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Yeah, I'm listening...

Most memorable moment on my bike: Hmmm...there's a new one about every two weeks. Any time I make a boy suffer is pretty memorable for me.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Dropping down a steep long road into an obscure winery, sitting around drinking wine for a while, and then racing my friends up this ridiculous road with a buzz. We made the old olympian carry a bottle of wine in his fanny pack for the rest of the day! Good times

Dawn... cool name but how to I put the macrons on?

Purple Jade... my fave colour... enjoy the boards

Welcome Wendy... lol about the goose... I wonder what made her crazy? We have that problem here with magpies - very territorial and very aggressive when they are nesting.

Hi Jo... I love to ride with my partner too... its just the best (even though he has to treat my hard work out rides like a recovery ride! )

Geonz... said hello to you in another thread... but hello again!

Kia ora Pam... glad you've stopped lurking

And Biker Hens little chick... love the pic with the choppers... excellent. Welcome.

Angel of Oregon - I have always admired anyone who can "do" yoga

On Yer Left - welcome Ingrid - thats a fantastic photo. I'm 2 yrs older than you to the month - I look forward to looking as fit as you do.

Hi Gazelle - don't want to call you Poison, Gazelle is so much prettier - hope you are liking the place

Shelly... ROFLMAO!!!! "Honest! I know a short cut" Oh, and I vowed I would never wear lycra in public too... whoops!

Geochick... cool degree, what kind of job does that open up for you?

Solo... I like the way you lie - thats def a legit lie if ever I heard one!

Hope you all keep on coming back - there's ALWAYS something interesting being discussed, cried over or laughed about... I really really like this place!

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

I work for an environmental consulting company. Most of the work I do is related in some form or fashion to contamination remediation. Back in the beginning, it meant I spent a lot of my time "in the field" - sampling soil, groundwater, sediment, etc. I quite seriously used to think that I had found the perfect career for a "grown-up" tom-boy! Alas, the punishment I pay for advancing my career is that, as time goes on, I spend less time outside and more time in front of my computer in the office. c'est la vie, I guess.

But, I still get to do something I love for a living and there are a lot of people who can't say that!

    Thanks for the welcome!
