Yeah... with you on that CC

Not really a "Happy holiday" day, really.

We're remembering the sacrifice and the tradgedy of war... so although lots of NZers and Aussies appreciate the day off and the long weekend, I doubt many of us think of it as a "holiday".

I chatted with my coworker, he was pleased I mentioned it to him...he was also very surprised that I knew what ANZAC stood for and could discuss Gallipoli in detail with him. His Grandfather served there.

    Thanks for posting that Queen
Brought a smile to my face

Remembering people who are important IS important, and you will have made this a special day a long way away from home.

Now, if you liked cooking for work-mates, I'd suggest you make him a batch of ANZAC cookies.... mmmmm....

RR - My co-worker (he's from Dunedin by the way) brought me some ANZAC cookies today!! They were yummy, we shared cookies while he showed me on the map where he's from and we discussed the All Blacks (I played rugby in College). We agree that American football is lame.

I went to Dunedin for the NZ National Road Race Champs in 2006... and I fell in love with the place. I am not a city fan, but I would love to live in Dunedin for 12-18 months (I think one winter there is probably all I could cope with!)

You following the Super14 then CC?

We are, of course... die-hard rugby fans!
