the woman was pretty much certifiable. Sounded like she thought we were a bunch of foreigners out to tear up her country. And the cops DID ticket her, but ALSO arrested her because she was a danger to the riders and probably to herself. What she didn't know -- not only do we all pay taxes, we also paid a heavy registration fee for the ride, much of which was given to non-profits in each of the towns we cycled through.

out here, I've been blasted and clipped by semis, screamed and sworn at, had beer cans chucked at me by half-drunk yahoos on their way down from target practice on Left-Hand Canyon .... you name it. And we're considered one of the more bike-friendly states. Go figure.
