April 20th rides

DH and I went camping at Garner State Park this weekend. Yesterday we did a 52 miler from Garner to Leaky to Vanderpool to Utopia to the Park. The 12 mile stretch between Leakey and Vanderpool (SH 337) was a beast!! There was two 2+ mile climbs with some little steep sections to keep it fun. I am still a little sore this morning but ready to go back.

Started from home to meet up with a club ride: 10 miles
Did the club ride and felt really good for most of it: 53 miles
Got talked into doing another slightly hilly loop: 24 miles
Rode home: 9 miles

For a grand total of 96 miles.

did a 68 mile ride to benefit homeless children: weather -perfect - wind - perfect -course - perfect.
next week is the "tour of the tucson mountains" then - well - nothing. our "season" pretty much ends abruptly may 1st. (too hot). bummer.
so we wait til october when it starts up again for for another two month "season."
i'll still do the daily commute, some saturday morning group rides and the sunday 35 mile commute to church. but i miss the organized events and races.
